PTFE Synthetic Packing (Non-Asbestos)

Style 1500

White braided rope coiled on spool.

Style 1200 Graphitized PTFE Packing, also known as Teflon® graphite packing, is designed for high-performance sealing in pumps and valves. Manufacturers encapsulate high-purity micronized graphite within a PTFE matrix, creating a strong and flexible braided packing. As a result, this graphitized PTFE packing combines the heat transfer of graphite with the chemical resistance and low friction of PTFE. Similar in performance to GFO®, it offers excellent sealing, durability, and heat dissipation for rotating and reciprocating equipment.

In addition, PTFE packing rope is available in both lubricated and dry options to meet different application needs. Style 1500 PTFE (1500L) Synthetic Packing Rope is a non-asbestos braided packing made from synthetic fibers, PTFE impregnated and lubricated for smooth operation. Because of this added lubrication, it reduces friction and works well in pumps and dynamic equipment. It also serves as an economical alternative to asbestos packing or standard PTFE packing.

On the other hand, dry PTFE rope packing (1500D) contains no added lubricants. Therefore, it is ideal for applications where cleanliness and chemical resistance are critical. Both options provide reliable sealing, long service life, and cost-effective performance.
