CeraTex® Ceramic Fiber Board is an alumino-silicate ceramic fiber-based refractory rigid board. It is manufactured through a special board-making process with high purity washed fibers.

Main Characteristics and Properties
  • White color, light-weight, flexible, good handling strength and good uniformity
  • Resists temperature as high as 2300° F (2000° F continuous use), fire resistant
  • Low thermal conductivity, low heat storage, thermal shock resistant
  • Good dielectric strength
  • Excellent corrosion resistance (Resistant to most chemicals except hydrofluoric, phosphoric acids and concentrated alkalies)

Chemical and Physical Data

Density:  19 lb/cu.ft

Chemical Composition:  Al2O3 40%; total Al2O3 and SiO2 > 96%; Fe2O3 < 0.5%

Compressive Strength:  25 PSI (0.17 MPa)

LOI:  < 8% max

Continuous Use Temperature:  2000° F or less (recommended for optimum performance)
