Low Density Graphite Mat

MinGraph® 2035

MinGraph® 2035 is a low-density graphite mat (sheet) manufactured with half-way compressed high purity exfoliated mineral graphite.  This product is chemical resistant, thermal conductive, and can be used in various high temperature applications.  It does not contain hazardous substances such as lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), etc.  MinGraph® 2035 graphite mat meets RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive) requirements.

Main Characteristics and Properties

Bulk density (ASTM F-1315):                            6.2 lb./ft³ (0.1 g/cc) [also available in custom density]

Carbon content:                                                99% min.

Ash content:                                                      1% max.

Sulfur content:                                                  1000 ppm max.

Leachable chloride content:                              50 ppm max.

Compressibility @ 5000 psi:                             94% (for 6.2 lb./ft³ density mat)


Working temperature range

Oxidizing atmosphere (i.e., air):                                              -400°F to 950°F (-240°C to 510°C)

Mild oxidizing atmospheric of most gasket applications:         -400°F to 1500°F (-240°C to 850°C)

Non-oxidizing atmosphere:                                                      -400°F to 5400°F (-240°C to 3000°C)

Product Applications

Use as a compressible sealing material to fill device cavities or irregularities.  Can also be used as a heat liner of buffer in industrial furnaces and other heating devices.
